The Apicultural Collection is a special collection of the Research Institute for Small Animal Breeding and Feeding. The predecessors of the institute in the crown lands were the Royal Hungarian School for Woman Workers of Poultry Farming, founded in 1897, and the Apiarian Farm, established in 1899. The museum, unparalleled in Hungary, was opened to the public by the research institute in 1983.
The exhibition can be visited by appointment during the working
time of the institute. On demand, the fellows of the institute
are also ready to give professional lectures on apiculture.
